And here is the vinyl much of this Cerpts was taken fromz:

A childhood favourite ever since I first got it back in the mid-70's.  I just replaced my worn old copy with a new one heard here.
This LP box set came out after Elvis died in 1977.  It's got something like 8 records in it and all the Elvis songs are taken from this vinyl.
I originally got this Nostalgia Lane "documentary" on audio cassette back in the early 1980s but here it is in a vinyl box set!  The cassettes split this up into a double "THIS WAS RADIO" tape as well as a "GOLDEN AGE OF COMEDY" cassette and a "RADIO'S GREATEST COMMERCIALS" tape.  All of these have records in this one set.
One of the earliest 45's I remember having in my life (and which I STILL have) is a Peter Pan records 45 of LITTLE TOOT.  This album has that exact same version of the song (the only one I will listen to, thank you very much) and a bunch of other nautical songs and stories
This 1963 45 is one of several "Georgie" records that came out featuring stories from a series of children's books.  I have audio of the others but this is the first actual Georgie record I've managed to track down.
This Jan & Dean album is a rather famous album cover.  And it's kinda disturbing and I don't know why.  Although not QUITE as disturbing as Jan & Dean attempting to cover a Beatles song.
There's nothing better than an old Hi Fidelity Hawaiian music record from the 50's or 60's.  This fact was taught to me during the mid-1990's lounge music/exotica craze.
Another children's book that was turned into a 45 rpm record.  I love me anything to do with the sea.
I've seen this album before somewhere but never heard it until I tracked down an actual vinyl copy.  It's so VERY early-80's sounding but that's not a bad thing.
For the umpteenth time, we have Mad Magazine's GALL IN THE FAMILY FARE.  I originally got this EVA-TONE soundsheet/flexi-disc from the issue of Mad Magazine it was originally bound in and mine was played to death.  However, I just managed to get myself another one in much better shape so this version is the bestestest sounding one.
So, this is another Stereo Demonstration record.  I'm still trying to track down another copy of the Bel Canto Stereo Demonstration Record (which I've had all my life and which is awesome) but haven't been able to find one yet.
Here is a really cool 45 which put you in the pilot's seat.  You play the part of the astronaut flying his rocket to Mars.  The back of the record cover has a control panel with different dials and buttons you can press when prompted by the record.
As you can see, I got several 45 rpm book and records and this one features Pooh.
Scooby-Doo & Mystery Inc. gets the book and record treatment from Peter Pan Records . . . and there will be more later.
This is a recent vinyl record (from the last decade or so) featuring the ENTIRE soundtrack of the Disney SKELETON DANCE CARTOON on Side 1.

and here is Side Two of that same record featuring the ENTIRE soundtrack to Disney's classic THREE LITTLE PIGS cartoon.
I first heard this song on THE DR. DEMENTO SHOW in 1978.  I've just now managed to track down the original 45.
This 3 record set is an interesting 1970's curiosity with various comedians and their comedy routines.  I have most of them already but this was an interesting set featuring everything from Stan Freberg to Richard Pryor.
In the mid-1970's I bought the Wonderland Records LP of THE WAR OF THE WORLDS at the Listening Booth in the Pennsauken Mart.  I love these records and, in recent years, have tracked down several of them.  My latest acquisition is THE INVISIBLE MAN.  Never much of an Invisible Man fan, I was pleasantly surprised at how good this record was; it's now one of my faves.  Also every single one of these albums features exquisite Wally Wood artwork on the cover!
Vaughn Meader's single claim to fame nowadays is surely his famous THE FIRST FAMILY record(s).  But here's him just doing comedy.  Not as good as the classic FIRST FAMILY but what is?
I began collection old radio shows in the late 1970's and began buying Radiola records of them starting around 1980.  This one I bought when it first came out in the early 80's.  This stock photo is in MUCH worse shape than my actual LP (which is immaculate).  I love love LOVE Fred Allen and here his guest is the exquisite Marlene Dietrich who sings "See What the Boys In the Back Room Will Have"!
Power Records were a staple of my youth and I had the PASSAGE TO MOAUV comic book & record 45.  But here is the 33 1/3rd album containing that story and two others which appear on these Cerpts Thingys.
Never much of a Flintstones fan either but this one featured ghosts so I had to get it.  You will here the other story on an upcoming Cerpts.
And here we have Power Records 33 1/3rd of THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN; of course, you'll be hearing all these stories too
This oddity is part 1 of a two part 45 set which splits up the 33 1/3rd full album of CRAZY OTTO RIDES AGAIN.  I've had a Crazy Otto 45 (the song is actually called THE CRAZY OTTO) since I was a kid (from my mother's 45 collection) and here are a couple trademark rinky-dink player-piano tunes by this German pianist.
One of the risks of buying stuff online is that you don't always get what you ordered.  I was buying a lot of records which included a DUKES OF HAZZARD book & Record entitled DAREDEVIL DANGER.  The book came, all right, but the 45 inside of it was not the story but instead Waylon Jenning's single of the theme song.  Ah well, that's good too.
My endless love affair with EVATONE soundsheets aka flexi-discs continues with a couple more pickups including this Reader's Digest HAPPINESS IS... promo.
It's another Scooby book and record!!!  Noice!
Another flexi disc.  This time Time-Life's release of Wagner's RING OF THE NIBELUNG
As a child, I actually had this Show 'N Tell record player/TV monitor thingy.  As you can see, there's a record player on top on which you play the 45.  The front of the 'box' actually had what looked like a TV screen.  To the right of the record player on top you can see an upside-down 'L' which is actually a roll of slide photographs that are synched up to the record and change pictures as the record plays.  Astonishing.  I don't have my OG Show 'N Tell player obviously but I do have all my OG book/records.  I recently bought this Mickey Mouse one I never had.
Along with Mickey Mouse, I picked up this John Paul Jones Show 'N Tell book and record from the same seller.  This cover shows more clearly what the actual record player machine looked like.
Along with LITTLE TOOT, this Peter Pan Records 45 of JACK AND THE BEANSTALK was one of my first records I ever had.  I had (and still have) the 45 but I don't remember ever having the book show above.  But now I do.
And here is a Peter Pan Records 45 called MONSTER MASH.  However, it's an earlier one and not the one I've had all my life with the marvelous George Peed artwork on the cover.  This earlier version features the song MONSTER MASH but the other 3 songs are just non-descript surf rock tunes.  The later 70's Peter Pan Records MONSTER MASH 45 with the George Peed cover had all 'monster songs' as well as the classic "FEET UP (PAT HIM ON THE PO-PO)"!!!

I got this record from Scotts Roger himself (and he autographed it to me).  A rare modern, new record and I really liked all the songs.

Jackie Gleason fancied himself an orchestra leader and released tons of these "and his orchestra" albums.  This is possibly the most famous title.

The Thump-Clap Thump-Clap is back.  I'm pretty sure the OG Stars On 45 was included on Cheekie's first Cerpts Tape to me.  Or maybe the second...

I got this 70's Jerry Reed record and, while not one of his best, it DOES have this awesome Jack Davis cover art!

Speaking of awesome cover art. . . here is art by the awesome-most George Peed (did he???) which graces many a Peter Pan Record.  He was superb!
