ADVENTURES IN CERPTSLAND VOLUME THIRTY - THE PHANTOM OF THE PORTHOLE

AND HERE ARE SOME OF THE REKKIDS USED IN MAKING THIS COIPTS:
This Vincent Price reading poetry record I bought a quarter of a century ago.  It arrived in the mail on September 10th, 2001.
Not necessarily much of a Bob Hope fan, but this Bicentennial record features tons of great people including Fred Travalena, Phyllis Diller, Jim Backus, Louis Nye, Karl Malden, Demond Wilson, Dudley Moore and several others!

This record I've had since . . . oh . . . when was it, 1974??? . . . when THE HOWDY DOODY SHOW actually made a modern comeback on TV for a brief time in the seventies.  Again, I was never really a Howdy Doody fan but I kinda loved this goofy record.  The songs were great and it came with an actual paper stage, cutout characters to put on plays on said stage, and a coloring book.  What more could a lil kid want???
Never was a TMNT fan back in the day . . . I've only recently kinda liked them.  This soundtrack record has a die-cut manhole cover which opens up!
This is one of the best albums I've heard all year!!!!  Spooky orchestral (and choral) music which is excellent, hooky and Halloween-approved!!!! I only have it on vinyl - I don't think it's available on cd or nuffin'.
This 30 year old cd is a brand new acquisition for me.  And it's not too good.  Nowhere near the awesomeness of YOU EEDIOT!!!  Ah well. . .
I pre-ordered this cd last year and it just arrived.  Awesome Halloween-type songs most of which even I never heard before!
I don't know what THIS is.
The FLENDER ON THE PHONE tracks made me dig up my Roy D. Mercer cd . . . well one of 'em
So yeah.  This is a 5 cd set of Elton concerts from 1968 through to 1988.  Who knew???

There are a LOT of Cerpts Fodder which was originally put on a Cerpts Tape by the Doddily Doo back in the dayz of the wobbly rekkid player.  This is one of them.  I always had Volume 2 but I never had Vol. 1 . . . until now.  So I'm sending them back over the garden wall to you, Doddy.  As many of these ADVENTURES IN CERPTSLAND cds are doing.
Here's another flexi-disc/soundsheet I've added to my stack - this one also is from the U.K.
This is one of the oddest thangs I ever saw'd.  It's two tracks each from 6 comedy records that United Artists put together on one rekkid.  I guess it was a sampler LP to give people a taste of the UA comedy rekkids that were out.  I already owned the Kaye Ballard LP but the other ones no.
We're back to another comedy album which the Doddy originally put on a tape for me back in the day on his wobbly rekkid player.  Wow, when was the last time either one of us heard this?!?!?!
I love Plato's writings and a have a big ole hardback of the Complete Plato.  So when I saw this vinyl of Sidney reading Plato, I had to have it.  This vinyl I've actually owned for about a decade but just now put it on a Cerpts CD.
This new acquisition was quite surprising as it's kinda filthy.  Not explicit but wittily naughty.  I previously knew folky Oscar Brand from his children's GHOST BALLADS album so this was a complete surprise.  All the naughty songs are winners but THE HERMIT is my favourite!
This weirdo lounge music album IN LIVING STEREO natch features the Marty Gold Orchestra providing swinging, loungy versions of theme songs from TV Western shows.  I know.  Absolutely bonkers so I had to have it.  I think I paid 4 bucks for it.
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH if only I could find the 45 rpm records of Disney's ADVENTURES IN MUSIC: MELODY.  Well, I actually own them but they're scratched to within an inch of their lives.  Those 45's have been listened to since I was about 7 years old and they were originally owned by my Paw.  I would love to find better copies but so far I've only been able to find this 78rpm which isn't the same recording.  I got a 33 1/3rd vinyl LP that had ADVENTURES IN MUSIC: MELODY on it and I nearly freaked out but when I got it, turns out it was a re-recording and STILL not the original 45 version.  Oh woe is me!!!
Sterling Holloway (also the voice of Winnie the Pooh, if you're askin') tells a half dozen Aesop's Fables to some rotten kids.  Great stuff!
This 45 by folky Alan Mills (I own a couple of his albums including one of sea shanties) is wonderful; it contains 4 songs (2 a side) and they're ALL on this cd.
When I was ordering my GOOSEBUMPS and MUSIC OF THE MACABRE and TMNT rekkids, there was an offer to get a "mystery vinyl LP" for ten bucks so I went for it.  What arrived was the soundtrack vinyl for this movie.  I own both the first movie and the sequel but haven't watched either one of them yet!
Another Disney 78 rpm golden record.  This is a Christmas one which I didn't get in time for the Christmas Cerpts CDs.  So I slung it on here.
Here is another flexi-disc/soundsheet I just bought.  I actually bought two of them; the other one was Night Ranger's (You Can Still) Rock In America.  I thought, since they both came in GUITAR WORLD magazine they would be something like instructions on how to play the songs.  however, much to my dismay (not really) they were just an "Exclusive World Premiere" sneak peek release of the songs.  So I didn't put the Night Ranger one on here because it's just the regular song.  However, this wacky-titled instrumental I slung on here too.
